Gaseous diffusion enrichment

Enrichment is a key stage in transforming uranium into fuel. In enrichment, which precedes nuclear fuel fabrication, the isotopic composition of natural uranium is modified to facilitate the fission process, source of electric power generation.

A portion of the thermal energy produced by the enrichment process is recycled to provide heat for greenhouses, urban centers and a crocodile hatchery.
