Framatome ANP*, an AREVA and Siemens company, is developing next generation reactors designed to meet tomorrow's requirements with regard to the environment, safety and high performance of its installations:
EPR, a pressurized water reactor (PWR) based on the most recent French and German NPPs,
SWR 1000, a boiling water reactor (BWR) whose major innovation is to use intrinsic safety systems.

In addition to more competitive operating and maintenance costs, these two reactor models will further increase the level of safety of the plants produced by the group, which is already the highest in the world.
