Viewing physical phenomena in real time...

The SAF is a training simulator developed by Framatome ANP*, an AREVA and Siemens company, to analyse pressurized water reactor operation in real time.

All the reactor systems are simulated in detail and displayed on a number of screens thus enabling physical phenomena to be understood better.

For example, engineers can test and develop controls to improve a plant's operating rules before applying them onsite.
