Uranium purification pilot system - SEPA, Bessines-sur-Gartempe (France)

From ore processing to full-scale development

COGEMA's* Department of Process Design and Analysis (Service d'Etudes de Procédés et Analyses), or SEPA, is one of the group's leading centers for research and development.

SEPA conceives, develops and enhances processes to treat uranium and gold ore, to recover industrial byproducts, to treat and isolate final waste, and to process liquid effluent and contaminated soils.

In addition to its original ore processing mission, SEPA has become active in uranium chemistry, non-radioactive nuclear simulations, small prototype equipment design, analytical services, and processing and quality assurance expertise.

SEPA is capable of designing and executing the full range of physico-chemical testing and analysis required for definition of treatment processes.
