Reinforcing security in nuclear plants in Eastern Europe

Framatome ANP*, an AREVA and Siemens company, has been modernizing nuclear plants in Eastern Europe for many years now, e.g. in Slovakia, Bulgaria, or the Ukraine. In particular, it is upgrading the reactor protection systems by installing digital instrumentation and control systems

TELEPERM XS is part of new equipment which makes it possible to bring soviet-design PWRs into line with western safety standards.
