In 2050, Esperanza will be born, along with our grandchildren and great-grandchildren. What will she find? In what state will we have left the earth? Perhaps for the first time in human history, the question arises. Never before has man had more impact on his environment.

The climate is changing; natural resources are diminishing. If we are to provide for our needs, as well as those of generations to come, the model which allowed for economic growth in the last century must give way to sustainable development.
